Our No Interest Loans Scheme (NILS) here at the Bowen Neighbourhood Centre, it is still running. NILS can be used to purchase new whitegoods, and some other items depending on the circumstances and the item. NILS is for the community members who are on a lower income and or receive some income support from Centrelink. NILS so far this year has helped many people purchase the necessary items to better their living environment and to enhance their overall lifestyles.
